This section of the Lower GHT offers beautiful Himalaya views, among which a view of Mt Everest (on day 11). You cross several passes of around 3,000 m, which offer splendid views over the Himalayas and green valleys. You pass through authentic Sherpa and Rai villages and beautiful rhododendron forests. An added advantage of this section, is that there are very good tourist facilities, but few tourists compared to the popular Khumbu/Everest area.
